Are you an experienced firefighter missing what you used to do? Are you a new resident in town who's looking for something to spice the day up? Maybe you're a retiree with lots of free time on your hands. We're always looking for new members. If you're trained, great! If not, no worries! Training is provided free of charge. Even if firefighting isn't your cup of tea, we've got other options! Read on for more info!
This is our main membership class. These members are our #1 response personnel responding to everything from vehicle accidents, to trees down, to structure fires, and just about anything else you can think of. There are training requirements that must be obtained but we'll be happy to help! To be a firefighter you must be over the age of 18.
These members are essentially the same as the firefighter class, but with one exception. These members hold additional certifications such as EMT, Paramedic, PHRN, and more. Not only are they able to assist with fires, they are able to assist at any medical incidents as well. To be a firefighter/ems provider you must be over the age of 18.
Do you have a CDL? You might be a perfect fit for this position. If not, we'll train you anyway. Apparatus operators go through a series of driver/operator certifications to ensure they're trained and ready to operate our apparatus for every call. Even if fighting fire isn't in your wheelhouse, you can still be a great asset to our company.
Are you under the age of 18 but still looking to help out? We also offer a junior membership to anyone between the ages of 14-17. Junior members are limited in their participation at emergency incidents but are still able to experience plenty. They can learn the ins and outs of the fire service and assist our members on certain calls, during fundraisers, with cleanup after incidents, and much much more. They also have the opportunity to begin certain trainings before they turn 18 so that when they finally reach that age, they can start into full membership much sooner.
Don't want to be on the front lines? We've still got a place for you. Our Active Non Emergency members help in a ton of ways. After we've exhausted ourselves fighting a house fire at 3am, we still have to wake up to run our fundraisers. Active Non Emergency members can run these fundraisers in our place to give our emergency members some much needed rest and recovery. These members can also assist with public relations and fire prevention events, along with plenty of other items.
Not interested in any of the above mentioned positions? Maybe you don't want to have extra responsibilities after working all day? Join our fireman's club. For $15 a year you are provided a membership card allowing you to hang out at our fireman's club during business hours. Profits are then used for club improvements and the rest is given back to the fire department to help pay for much needed equipment. (You also receive a membership if you join under any of the previously mentioned positions).
